At LoveJoy Labradoodle, the most important is that our puppies are healthy and have a good temperament, meet the breed standards and none of them carry any disease genes. In order to have healthy puppies, we use only healthy dogs in our breeding program. Healthy parents produce healthy puppies. All dogs undergo hip and elbow x-rays, and a mandatory eye exam. All our breeding dogs have healthy hips, they are completely free of hip dysplasia. All dogs are genetically tested to see if they are disease free or if there is a risk that certain disease tendencies may be passed down to the puppies.
All 3 of our dogs have excellent genetic characteristics. They meet all the strict breeding requirements set by WALA, they have breeding license. This means our dogs are free of HD (Hip Dysplasia), ED (Elbow Dysplasia), Patellaluxation (loose kneecaps), PRA-PRCD (Hereditary Eye Diseases), Willebrand’s Disease (Blood Coagulation Disease), EIC (Exertional Collapse), IC (improper coat) and DM (degenerative myalopathy) diseases.
